Registration fees

The registration fee includes access to all sessions, refreshments throughout the conference, the welcome reception on Sunday 21 August, the Civic Reception on Monday 22 August at Glasgow Science Centre, the Whisky reception on Wednesday 23 August and all event material.  The fee does not include lunch or the conference dinner which must be pre-booked separately.

Cancellation and refund policy

The Institute operates a cancellation policy as follows. All cancellations must be made in writing.  Full details can be found in our terms and conditions. Please make sure you have read and understand the T&Cs before registering for the conference. Submission of a registration is regarded as a firm booking (subject to availability) and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

If the written cancellation is received by the Institute:

  • at least six weeks prior to the first day of the event, a full credit/refund will be issued
  • less than six weeks, but at least three weeks, prior to the first day of the event, a full credit/refund minus a 20% administrative charge will be issued
  • less than three weeks prior to the first day of the event, or you do not attend the event, no refund will be issued.

Payment of fees

In order to ensure that it complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS") and for the protection of its members and others, the Institute of Physics will only accept credit and/or debit card payments online through RBS WorldPay secure payment server. All payments must arrive by 12 August 2016. After that day, all unpaid registrations will be cancelled.
